Should I Sell This?

Hi guys,

I've been holding onto this for some time, wondering if it'll have collectable value someday (or even today) but I kind of need the cash, so I'm going to grab some opinions.

I have a Sinclair Spectrum 128k +2 sat in my house. Not that amazing in itself, they're not rare yet, except....

<b>It's in the original Spectrum box packaging.</b>

I don't use it (I've become King of random old school PC's and consoles it seems, looking around my house) so I'm tempted to sell it. But should I expect to get a decent amount for a boxed one, or should I hold onto it longer yet?

I doubt anyone would give you more than 50 or 60 bucks for it, although I certainly wish I had one.

Keep a hold of it. Spectrums are notoriously glitchy and working ones can net you 100 sterling. Virtually mint and in box would probably push the price up more.

Remember though, its a COLLECTORS market. Try out electronics museums and see if they'll take it. Otherwise hold on until its so rare its bleeding.






I've still got mine, I will *never* part with it.... sadly box got turfed into bin by the parents, and the keyboard got mangled by my smacktard brother. Its been repaired but its hardly "as new"

I dont think it will be a collectable in the far future, we're talking maybe 200 years or so. I would just hold onto it because its neat to have, and there is no reason to sell it. It has personal value, not net value.
