Nice work.
The fourth I find interesting. It looks as if it has deeper implications once you think about it.
Utilizing the proper mediums, and with a defined style, it could be a powerful image; i.e., oil on canvas, uncolored, abstract background consisting of newspaper clippings of murders arranged and covered in heavy brushstrokes, perhaps using a roller or knife, and the text given the appearence of being quickly added or scribbled on, almost as if it were an afterthought.
But thats just my view.
its just a venting pic of emotion. its a horse because i found that alot of ppl who own horses care for them etc, treat them like they love them. and when the horse does one simple mistake, they are killed.. everyone makes mistakes, why should death be the penalty for such a silly mistake? sometimes the horse tries its hardest to please its owner, but their reward is death. even though they tried their best. which i find really sad and upsetting.. imagine how the horse feels.. dunno bout you but horses do think and they do have emotions. you can tell.
the writing was added after the pic but directly after finishing.. its what i think the horse would say when it faces the gates of death because you sent it there. (the knackers yard) . and i have messy handwriting. always have..
Your Skulk Anatomy picture turned out oh-so-good :-D
ns_kylie?
I just thought they were killed if they broke a leg, because it can't heal.
and no, alot of horses get sent to the knackers because they dont win.. especially race horses. other horses, like the mares foals which are born to instantly die barely get a chance to live..
<!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->There is an industry in North America which involves the six-month confinement of pregnant horses and the subsequent slaughter of many of their offspring. Hundreds of PMU farms, located in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and North Dakota, are home to approximately 50,000 mares which, in their pregnant state, provide urine for the lucrative PMU industry. This hormone-rich urine is used in the manufacture of a well-known hormone replacement drug, Premarin. The following is a summary of PMU-related problems which concern environmentalists and animal welfare groups today:
1) pollution-- resultant waste products from the production facility;
2) plight of the mares: pregnant mares are confined in narrow stalls for six months while their estrogen-rich urine is channeled into collection devices; exercise appears to be minimal and at the discretion of the PMU farmer (the most we have observed, in print, has been once a week); water restrictions have been documented in the past;
3) unwanted by-products: it is estimated that up to 30,000 unwanted foals are sold to the meat market annually; according to the recommended code of practice for the industry, foals must be at least three months of age before they can be weaned -- but some veterinary records have shown that foals as young as two months are sold at prairie auctions; these youngsters, after being force-weaned, attempt to suckle on one another and show little resistance to disease;
4) the tragic result: animal welfare advocates question how many factory farmed animals are needed in North America as tens of thousands of innocent foals die annually in slaughter houses.

We don't walk on the leg or use the arm when it's broken. Other animals tend to hop if one of their limbs is wounded, I'm not sure if horses can hop while holding a broken limb up. And don't horses sleep standing?
