Hmmm.....I'd take kylies word for it if it was a good program. Maybe I'll take a look at it, but I'm pretty sure after 5 minutes ill get confused and never use it again.

With the new Photoshop, you can decapitate a horse and put him on an autumn themed background!

*thumbs up*

Seriously though, looks like a neat program. Probably too expensive for my blood though =D

I've been looking into Photoshop CS recently. Though i must admit the £500 price tag is more than a little daunting.

I've read a number of reviews and a lot have said that the most substantial updates have been performance and efficiency as opposed to new features, so that's made me pretty apprehensive to shelling out so much for it. I'm still thinking that the 7-CS upgrade may be worth it, but i'm still looking for it cheap through my uni.

So, this is basically Photoshop 8 under a different moniker? Why the change in name sequencing?

Because everyone has to change from logical numerical progression to random letters (Flash MX, anyone?).

I think some people just forget to learn to count and just put random letters in place of the numbers they can't recall.

"Hey Dave, what shall we call Photoshop now?"
"We have Photoshop 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7..... what comes after 7?"
"C?"

I'll stick to 7, cause there's no point upgrading when I'm not even that accomplished with the preceding versions.

OttoDestruct likes his Olsen twins porn :P

I had PS 5.5 previously and PS CS is a lot lot better. I absolutely HATED 6 and so I never bothered to try 7, but 8 is really good. It seems to run a lot better too, and doesn't crash all the time like 5.5 did :X

Photoshop sure is nice. I'm still trying to get used to GIMP

Maybe I should try Photoshop with wine... Wonder if that works. I like GIMP but I've always felt home with Photoshop. Photoshop CS is a nice improvement, but nothing big. I have a LEGAL copy of Photoshop 6 (or actually my dad has but anyway), and I feel absolutely no need to buy a newer version with an insane price.
