"map Differs From The Servers"

<div class="IPBDescription">and I don't understand why</div> A friend of my brother installed ns 3 beta 1 today and downloaded the beta 3 patch and installed. when he tried to join the same server as I steam said that the map differs from the servers. we tried a couple of servers, but the same happened all the time.

Do you know what to do?

    Odd. Most of the maps were put in the beta 3 patch in order to prevent this problem.

    Since beta 2 is no longer availible for download off the main page, I guess installing Beta 1, then 2 and 3 is out of the question.

    Yeah, for some reason the installer likes putting it in half-life/nsp/nsp for me... every version has done it. I don't get it.
