Any Good Cd [audio + Data] Burning Proggies?

Nero isnt working for me, no idea why, its been having a cry [all versions, after format as well, uninst and reinst, everything]

tried about three or four different programs, they all seem to have problems... like, NOT SEEING MY CD-ROM DRIVE, or not wanting to burn to it

so

anybody got any suggestions i can use?

and how effective/worthwhile is the inbuilt windows xp cd burning tool... [i.e click drag onto cd-rom <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->]

can it do music? played in a stereo

    While we're at it, is there anything available to get Winamp to play this bloody RHCP CD I bought with my own money? I understand it's copy protected, but I want to use my preferred media player. Too much to ask?

    are OTHER things detecting said CDR?

    MY thinking would be go into your bios and make sure it is being detected there (And that it is set to run in ultra DMA mode).

    Honestly, I doubt that this is a prob with Nero.

    @Flint: It should play it... what does it do when you try to play it? (and can you play it in MMJukebox, WMP? OR anytihng else?)

    Some kind duke suggested I bypass the autorun copy protection by holding down shift while inserting the CD, but that almost sounds too easy.
