since I didn't see it here, and I searched, and it's something current and ripe for discussion lets dig in.

The great city of San Francisco roughly 7 days ago started granting marriage licences to same sex couples. Naturally anti *** marriage groups have challenged this and a legal battle is going to ensue. The bell is about to ring and I'm about to change classes but I will get back to this as soon as possible.
I'm back, and now it's time for my two cents [say, if someone asks you a penny for your thoughts, and you put your two cents in, where the heck does that other penny go?] back on topic
MY OPINIONS INCOMING!
I think that it's a great thing becuase it throws the issue into the spotlight, and it allows couples who have been together and love each other the distinction of their union to be recognized. In the United States everyone is equal and such, but if you tell someone you can't get married becuase you are a same sex couple is witholding something from someone becuase of how they are is discrimination and to a degree racism. same sex marriages is akin to the removal of segregation and womens sufferage, something that should happen but is / was resisted. If same sex couples are allowed to get married the world isn't going to end. I recall an argument by a pastor for same sex marriages and it made sense but I forgot it right now and my teacher is yelling at me to get off the computer becuase I am "chatting"
