Hardly anyone patronise it now....
Strange.......9 out of 10 times when I go to the Fan Fiction forums, I am the only one there. Is the forum that un-popular? I mean......I can post something in discussion forum and go to the toilet for a ****, when I return, there may already be reply. Also, I can post a story there for like...................................5 days and get a single reply.

Anyway, I think that the fanfiction forum is way too quiet nowadays. Maybe you guys should consider going there sometime.

For the Scorpian-That-Hovars-Without-Flapping fans, I 've actually wrote up a big story and includes it! It's under NS The Behemoth.

I stop by there, there's some good stuff to be found there, but it's rare that I see another person in there (in fact, the two times I have found someone it's been you Fire Eel ). I for one would love to see more people dropping by; as a writer of a few fan-fics I know just how satisfying it is when someone mentions that your work is good, and it really inspires you to write more.

Don't know about anyone else but I prefer reading original works rather than fanfics =/
The minute I know something is written based on another's universe/characters/whatever then I usually just find myself stop reading =P

na im just not a fan of reading long drawn out stories about the background of the kharraa or anythin.. i mean... it is a game... not a lifestyle..

Hmm, I don't write because it's a lifestyle thing, I write because I enjoy it. In my current project for example I'm having a great deal of fun researching the NS universe and trying to plausibly explain how it came to be the way it is. I can't say why other's write, but doubtless we all have our own reasons. I know that if I didn't enjoy it, I wouldn't do it.

    eh?

Fan-Fic has really increased in the number of people who visit it, and thats looking at the long run. It's also got the RPG forums now which are relatively new. Heck, I used to live in the fan-fic forums.

If your looking for a story go read mine, it's called Situational Ethics

To be fair, most of the fanfic I've read has been of average quality. Sorry - that's simply my opinion.

In fact, the only piece of fiction I've read that engaged me was Ryo's fantastic "vision of the future" theads posted a few months back. Now that was quality prose.
