<div class="IPBDescription">Ini file to load gamedll's</div> Recently found out on the following on the sturmbot forums. Figured I'd post it as I heard no mention of this method on either #nsserver or on the forums once they came back up.
As of Metamod 1.17 you can create a config.ini file inside your metamod folder, thus eliminating the need to add gamedll files via the command line using +localinfo
The format would go like
gamedll path/to/file.extension
So in the case of NS it'd be
gamedll dlls/ns_i386.so
or
gamedll dlls\ns.dll
Linux users make sure you don't use gamedll_linux as that's not a recognized command by metamod.
This is partially a pointless post now that we have fixed metamod versions. But it could have helped some people with rental servers etc who can't change their command line during the time before the fixed metamods were released. Also it's still a viable solution for anyone who has gamedlls they need to add that aren't metamod plugins.
