Invisible Stuff

<div class="IPBDescription">I need to take some screenshots</div> Well I'm a little nervous about posting this, as well it probably sounds to most of you that I want to cheat, erm, ok well I'll just have to hope for some trust.

I need to take some pictures of co_core (i love that map) for my next wallpaper and well I want pictures of action in it however I don't want any HUD in the pictures at all, not even the spectator UI, so the only idea i've thought of is some invisible sprites for the hud and an invisible (transparent) lmg/bite models. Hmm, yeah this stuff really would get used for cheating, so erm well any help on any other way todo it would be great <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    EDIT - For models, go skulk and step back a bit futher than normal and crop out the teeth

    Clever! That means the FoV would balance out to roughly normal, right?

    I tried hud_draw 0 and nothing happened? (i was playing a game and the hud was still there after i entered it into the console)

    Hm don't know if this is still working on Steam but it worked fine on good old HL:

    Start NS and click on "concole". Start the map you want with the "map <mapname>" command.     There would be distortion no matter how far you pulled back and how well you cropped the resulting screenshot. (i.e. There's no way to 'simulate' a 90-degree field of view, just by cropping a 120-degree screenshot.)

    Go spectator mode, freeroam and edit out the crosshair. Unless cl_crosshair 0 still works.


    Either that, or if you just want to get shots of the map, make a server, enable cheats, and go noclip whilst in the ready room. Then go down to the level and you can roam around without any form of a hud.
