<div class="IPBDescription">2 Probs with NS 3.0+Steam</div> i downloaded the new ns with the beta 2 patch.... i looked around in the mod dir and found a gamestartup.mp3 and a startupvids.txt but i cant hear the gamestartup.mp3 if i launch ns 3.0 and cant watch the startupvids if i launch ns.

What to do?

    I don't think gamestartup.mp3 was implmented.

    And startup vid was taken out "until further notice"

    To listen to the background music (gamestartup.mp3) just type "bgmvolume 1" in the console. Now the titletrack plays in the background in the ns main menu.

    The movies are a different thing though. They have been disabled in beta2 because of some problems that occured with the codec. If you still want to see them u have to type in the following :

    the movies dont work sometimes, even if you have divx codecs...
    Want to see them go to steam\apps\email\halflife\nsp\media

    the official word on the movies is that they were taken out of because:

    <b>codec</b> - not the right one or something...

    <b>The Europeans</b> - on some european keyboards the code sent to the game for the "escape" key is different from that of the keyboards in the states... making it so that the europeans have to watch the movie EVERY time the game is loaded... so they were removed all together until the dev team can figure it out.
