<div class="IPBDescription">How Much?</div> Anyone know how much health eggs have? Does it depend on what lifeform you were before you started gestating or is there a set amount for the egg itself ?

Don't worry though, you won't have much trouble going 1 on 1 with an egg <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif'><!--endemo-->
Even if you begin egging to a gorge with 10/75 health next to the hive, your egg will have full health, and you will still hatch with 20/150 health. If you egg with full health and your egg is nearly knifed down, you will still hatch with full health.

So howcome you still hear yourself healing when you're damaged and start gestating ?

I too have a funny egg story....or at least we in the game thought it was funny when it happened....
playing tanith i walked into a mostly-undefended satcom hive at about 4 minutes and there was an egg so i started unloading my pistol into it and then at about 9 shots at it a fade popped out and owned me <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
im looking foward one day to be almost done gestating, the marine sees me, shotos me a bit, then takes out his knife. gets right ebfore knife range and i done gestating staring right at him as he turns around with his knife out and runs, or he starts knifing, i finish gestating and devour him >=D!

Thats why I never risk it and empty full clips. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
sucks when you have low ammo so you think you'll be saving some by knifing the egg instead of shooting it, when after the 3rd slice an onos pops out and you're staring at its stomach
A 1-hive egg takes 17 slashes to kill with the knife (500 effective hp, 30 dmg/slash). That takes some time. Compare that to a full lmg clip with lvl0 weapons. It is much quicker to use the lmg clip. Even if there is no net res gain because the comm ends up dropping ammo for you, the aliens lose res (from evolving), and possibly as important or more important, time. It's not worth it to knife an egg.
I know this probably belongs in beta duscussion but since were on the topic of eggs, what happens when you kill one in Combat, does the alien lose the upgrade ?
The thing I hate is when im almostr done goin into an ONOS at a desperate time in the game which MAY turn the game around.. and a marine walks right up to me and knifes me. I hate that!!

it gets worse. I got myself a few good times to actually open the menu, and click something in leap. Cursing while I egg. I should debind rightmouse once. lol
Anyone think that an egg's health should be linked to the lifeform's health?
Like you are a 10/0 skulk at the hive evolving to onos. You heal to max HP as the egg but when you pop out as an onos you only have 70 hp and get pistol whipped by a sneaky marine. That's the way the health system works now.
