Well if you ever try it nowadays LSD will not be what you get most likely.
But that study is quite interesting. It's most interesting to see that all of those drawing would still retain artistic value. I'd like to see someone on pot do that.
Actually, LSD is one of the least toxic substances known to man.. although, it is the most mind-altering drug we have.. or so I've heard.. also it's virtually impossible to become addicted to it physically, since you become immune to it very fast.. but if you have a weak mind, it can make you paranoid.. that's about all that's dangerous about it, unless you get into trouble while influenced by the drug.. which rarely happens..
What's dangerous about it is that it's illegal, you know.. you have to get it from shady people with sharp objects and things that say bang <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> and you can never be sure that what you get is the real thing.
I don't know if this is apropriate or anything.. if it isn't just say so and I'll self-nuke..
(Also, I don't do drugs. I don't even drink alcohol, or even coffe (thats kind of a drug, right?). Don't really see the point. from what I've heard, LSD takes an extremely long time to actually be finally filtered from your body so you can have unexpected acid flashbacks years after you've actually taken the stuff o.O

Isn't marijuana the one where they can find evidence that you've done it in the roots of your hairs?
actually, thinking back I can't remember if the flashbacks were due to 'remaining in your system' or 'the alterations it makes to your brain chemistry'. I was like 11 or something when we had that lecture from the mr policeman so ~shrugs and smiles~
I remember a story I heard about John and Paul from The Beatles, in which an associate of John slipped LSD into John's, his girlfriend's, Paul's and Paul's girlfriends's tea while they were chatting. A guy i knew called Vince, i hate the guy now, his sister was smuggling in LSD attached to her skin with cling film. Apparently when the sweat started to hit it, it all started to dilute into her system and eventually killed her through poisoning or some such. Vince, howerver, is a total liar, so i don't know whether to believe it or not, but another friend who isn't a total git confirmed it, however.
The second being i know someone who crashed their car because of an "acid flashback". But then again, he was a moron, i'm surprised he found how to start the bloody car, let alone drive it.
Last time i was tripping i developed some sort of god complex and walked the streets for hours talking about how great i was and how great my friends were. They were my angels and i was god. Anyway, don't do it kids, it's dangerous and illegal.
Oh, and before anyone jumps down my throat for taking LSD in the past, i live on experiences, i like to try everything and stay as open minded as possible. Bearing in mind there are still drugs i will not ever take, however, they're just for the scum of society. (Smack, crack, coke... etc).

EDIT: Actually I was just reminded of a funny theory there. Apparently there are people who have proposed that millions of years ago at the dawn of our creation a group of pre humans ventured in to the forest/jungles found some magic mushrooms proceeded to eat them and have thier minds expanded. After many years of doing this we developed our minds far beyond that of other primates and the rest is history. Wierd eh?

For just about everything that enters your body, some part of it will get exuded by your skin and get trapped in your hair.
Here's a simple fact about drugs bought off the black market: there's no control over what's actually in it. Would you expect a pirated DVD to have a standard of quality associated with it? Of course not. Same for drugs, only much worse, since you (hopefully) aren't ingesting your DVDs. That stuff you bought off the shady guy could be cut (basically diluted) with bleach or arsenic for all you know.
The same could easily be true of marijuana, but you can probably find a friend who grows it in their basement, so at least there's a little more trust involved when you're better tied to the supply chain. The only real solution to quality control is regulation, but that's got its own thread.
Now, for anything that isn't blatantly logical and obvious under close inspection, some funded research would go a long way toward making a point. *hinthint*
