Its an animation that's supposed to be a very accurate to what actually happened w/ the Mars rover, going from its liftoff to its landing to its first movement off the platform. Its nothing like "OMG WOW" but its still pretty nifty to watch. Its especially neat just how much the Rover's landing bubble pad thing (and then later the Rover's solar panels) seem to blossem very much like a Flower...

very cool anyway, nice find Doom very awe-inspiring...
Also, the weight constrictions on probe launches to mars make retrorockets dead weight for most of the journey. Air bags are lighter and more effective and leave more room for scientific instrumentation/a better rover, so the air bags are used and the rover is "Bounced in"

Actually, OMG WOW. The animation was not only very damn good, but it was done by one person. The first musical selection sucked, but the other two were very fitting, along with the slow dileberate movements of the rover it seemed almost "alive". Very cool stuff :D.
On a side note did you know that the robot was a type of tax in the 16th century?
