<div class="IPBDescription">very high pings + spikes often</div> Using newest version of 2.01 on steam.. system specs as follows
-windows xp pro
-amd thunderbird 1.44ghz proc
-512 ddrpc2100 ram
-radeon 7500 - newest drivers
-onboard sound - never had a problem before
-cable internet connection, pretty fast etc etc
-openGL 1024/768
-32bit color
-installed with retail Counter strike
happens only with NS, other mods are fine. sometimes i get kicked out of game with the error "reliable channel overflow" or something along those lines.
Ping should be about 80 or so in certain servers, pretty nearby my location. Friends in next house over with similiar system specs and same ISP + connection speed pings an average of 40-80
Yet, i seem to ping up at 100 to 360 constantly. No idea what the problem is.
Turned down my graphics for NS, from the improve fps sticky, still ping is taking dope.
