The Fastest Way To Quit Ns?

<div class="IPBDescription">NO, im not addicted!</div> Well, the story is, that my mother doesn´t allow me to play NS late at night (im 19 by the way <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> ) because she thinks i don´t get enough sleep.
but she allows me to be in the internet , doh.
just no shooters @ nighttime!
So, how can i quit NS the fastest way, when she arrives?
the good ol alt-F4 doesn´t work, it only gets me to the RR?
Any Ideas?

    Umm, what about alt-escape? Some games use that as a quit bind, I know EverQuest did.

    As I see it you have 4 options.

    a) Ignore your mother

    b) Don't play NS late at night

    c) Try to hide it in some half-assed way

    d) Get a reason to play NS late at night, e.g. go to sleep at 4 in the afternoon and you'll be up to play all night.

    and, alt + tab, then once you pull it back up, press escape them resume

    "Exit" in console. It's the method I always use since it just takes you straight out of the program, no messing about. Seeing as I use ASE, this means I haven't seen the NS menu in about 3 months <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

    And of course if you bind something to "exit", it will be all the faster.

    Use your assertive persuasive powers and talk to your Mom that at 19 years old, you can basically stay up as long as you want. If you're allowed to vote, join the army and smoke (if you're in the US at least), you should be able to stay up as late as necessary to vanquish the evil marines from the face of the universe.

    You could also make up some stuff about how NS gets your mind off work/studying so you can relax...or something.

    Or if all else fails: bind q to quit...unless you have my console where when you press enter it adds an e to everything, effectively making your console uselss....because exite is not a valid command....or name UltimaGeckoe (which is vaild but my name isn't supposed to end in e).

    On that tangent: "must kill people that screw up my Half-Life.....rarrrrrrgh"

    But seriously, when you enter a server hit the ` key and type exit. Hit the ` key again. If she comes in, hit the ` key and hit enter to execute the "exit" command.

    If you've got a bit of money, you could buy a second computer (It could only be a cheap one) and use one of these splitter boxes to quickly switch your monitor between the two machines. You could play NS on the good computer, while having some educational website open constantly on the other. When your mum comes in, switch the switch (or invent a cunning trip-wire type device) and NS instantly goes away <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
