Yeah well done your marketing executive f***s. Let's just pour advertising excrement all over the loving memory of fallen soldiers. Way to f***ing go, that's the sort of f***ing respect we need to show them.

F*** this pisses me off

Yet another reason why I have no hope for the human race as a collective whole...

Where's their frickin email address... I rarely write to morons, but this is just sickening....

I agree. This is why i haaaaaaaaaaate businesses, because they do stupid craps like this, not to mention thousands of other stupid things. I hope the poor Russians in the picture either A) get their share of profits from the advertising (aka 99.99%) or B) They get their behind sued [sic] shut.

Remember: don't just e-mail them yourselves. E-mail the guys at Penny Arcade and let them know about it too. The moment they make a post on their main page about how sickening this is, you'll have hundreds to thousands of people hammering these disrespectful fools with e-mails.

To play devil's advocate here, what's more disgusting about using a picture like that in an ad than making a game out of a similar subject? You could equivalently say that making an entertainment product out of a war is mocking the lives of all the people who died in it.

What's the significant moral difference between making a WWII game, and using a picture like that in an ad?

Mostly because in WW2 games you don't see pictures of real men who were there, unlike this add where its got REAL people.

Judging by the look of the photo, it seems very recent, so the memory of such pain is still very strong.

As sick as it sounds, if the same advertisement was used fifty or sixty years later, no one would care. The guy who made the advertisement just had VERY bad timing. That or he underestimated people's concern of people from foreign countries.

I'm glad you people are angry over this; as disrespectful as I KNOW it is, I don't FEEL anything about it. That in itself makes me **** off.

I'm shocked I really am. To think a company could take a very sad memorial and turn it into not only a advertisement, but a very crappy advertisement is just beyond words for me. I can't wait to see if Penny Arcade does anything about this. That should be one of the best rips ever.

But there's a difference between fictionalizing events and portraying a real tragedy as an advertisement. As I showed you.
