bruce lee was a machine. he could kill with one punch. before he died, his friend was trying to invent a machine that could withstand the full force of his blows. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
what is with the western fascination with bruce lee?
that guy had talent, but he has nothing on shaolin monks, at all. their entire practice was banned for being too powerful.. that's in real life -- not movies.
those monks dedicate their lives to the art, and most are never seen in movies.
aside from the one-inch punch, and speed, I've never seen lee do things that were that impressive. maybe it was just due to the western-influence in his movies (I've only seen him practice the art outside of movies a few times).

hopefully they can shed some light on him.
as for the shaolin... their practice was banned? 0_0
it's cool, though.. i read some of the interviews and in one, it was said that many of the gung fu fighters who traveled to fight thai kickboxers lost <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
There was indeed, a form of belief that was banned in China, and Hong Kong
However that wasn't Shaolin, because if it was, well....why are they still living in the mountains when they could've been shot back then for evil beliefs?
Anyway I won't derail this topic from its main purpose so now....

Jet Li is good. He definitely is, but like they said, Bruce Lee can kick his rump over and over on a trip to Pluto.

But Jet Li is still amazing.
