I've seen printscreen fail once. In FFXI you cant take shots and paste them in MSPaint. It disables the key appearantly.
you can assign your own hotkey from a few choices and it runs in the background
edit: doesnt work with movies though, sorry
i dont get why that doesnt work with video files et cetera, even when you pause it...?
(EDIT: Maybe that was the beta..my friends recent screenshots don't have the watermark)
(EDIT: Nevermind. They still put the watermark on. Stupid Square.)

No, it does, see this screenshot I took (FFXI shrinks screenshots to 512x38something (btw this is a pic of my character with a very lower level party):
Also check around in the games dir, alot of games suport you just hitting print screen and then places it in a dir for pictures <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
b/t what is this game? (linkeh?)
Sure you can, in WMP go to options, Performance tab, Video Accel to none.
Shogun Total War?
If so, Medival Total War owns it, and i expect Rome Total War to be one of the best RTS games ever.

it does work.. it is taking a picture of the programs it sees... it isnt like a stream.. the images are coming from a file its hard to explain... but it isnt some copyright protection as most people think... it is a true screenshot...
