go in the south access corridor vents. look in the corner near the exit for one of the vents. its the vent near the 'Rine spawn, anyways thats where I think it is. too tired to get SS, since I have to go right now.

It's not a LEAK or Tanith would run slow and have NO LIGHTS. It's just a crack.

    Might be a null-textured brush.

Making the named minimaps for Tanith I also looked at the .bsp file and noticed a few artifacts of things that went wrong in the compile process, especially near the vent between double res and chemical.
Usually this isn't a problem, but sometimes it can cause visual glitches. You probably just found one such glitch.

What's the difference between a 'leak' and a 'crack'?

Sometimes roundoff errors cause two walls to not exactly fit, but still be close enough to not cause a leak.

I think a leak would mean that the brush was exposed to the black outside void, thus creating a fullbright compiled map that would run horribly. A crack (i'm guessing) is just a small gap between the brush and the wall or whatever it was next to.

the Hall of Mirrors effect is due to exposed 'null faces', not leaks. i'm sure if you look around carefully you might see some. plus, most of the shoddy brushwork i did in some areas caused the minimap errors. oops.

i'll try to fix most of the HoM errors for 3.0.

also, consider making your ms sky brush smaller, when i was in free look, the sky brush went a long way past the ramp to the to fallen in roof, and this can save on r_speeds, and also make the bsp just that little bit smaller
