<div class="IPBDescription">could NS cause random violence?</div> has anyone seen the www.beta-7.com website?

The guy who "made" it claims that he was a beta tester for Sega's NFL2K4, a game aclaimed for its immersive feel due to its state of the art first person mode. He makes the claim that beta testing the game caused him to pass out, and let to violent random outbreaks in which he would tackle people. He has documented pictures of bruises he sustained during these outbreaks, videos of himself and other "playtesters" randomly tackling people, and tonnes and tonnes of other evidence, including some really interesting stuff that hints at segas involvement and full knowlage of the random outbursts this game caused. There is a video documenting the whole thing on Ifilm.com somewhere, If you go to the website you shouldn't have any trouble finding a like in one of the forums there.

Well, I'm gonna go play NS now, last time I checked it was an immersive first person game, oh, and BTW if any of you start passing out, or maby randomly running up to people on all 4s and biting them, be sure to inform me right away <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    All those whiners saying "OMG h4x! PC-Games cause violent actions!" should be burned. NS is set away from reality simply by its topic. Well, show me a skulk in REALITY and I will do violent things to him <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> Everyone having accces to a TV or a knife or a stick will feel tempted to do violent things, and if some can't hold back: Who cares? There is always a risk with things.

    Sounds like a problem with the person instead of the game.
    Passing out can be attributed to motion sickness, I suppose, or maybe mild epilepsy or something? As for the violent acts, as with drugs, the person's reaction can tell you more about the person than it can about the substance (or in this case, the entertainment).

    hehe, and the whole sega killed my buddy thing is pretty funny 2, knowtice the video that is easy downloadable off Ifilm was released 2 months after the last frontpage update, yet the site makes no mention of the fact that they found this guy.

    Ever read Fahrenheit 451? that is pretty much the theme of the book, I wouldn't worry too much about it though. If they think books cause violence wait till they see how violent I get when they ban books or any other type of media for that matter (I wouldn't really mind if they banned public news tv, its only really propaganda anyways, and I feel I have enough sourses of that as it is)

    O, BTW, this guy isn't really balaming video games for anything (at this point) the theme of his site seems strongly orented at "sega is an evil empire sent from hell" so lets not take this more seriosly then it needs to be. Sega is far from the company I would shed the most tears for if it went bottom up.
