I have to go with oni because Im the kinda guy that if I saw more than onos I would know that either they are screwed or we have enough defenses so we are set so that point in the game oni seems almost comical either way so I would shout something like "I SEE ONI!" Over the say to all.
dead even, I think this thread should stay 50/50. and let people call it whatever they want, cause with this kinda split, i doubt many people will actually call it anything different than they believe
HAHAHAHAHHA my vote just made it 400 to 399 in favour of oni!!!!
I r clearly teh win <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

in general, it is not suppose to be onos because the unit's name is onos(1 onos unit) so i'll go with oni, how ever onos looks more good for more then 1 onos because of the "s" at the end.
I've taken some classes in Latin, and I can tell you that it's NOT "oni". The plural "i" only replaces the "us" of second-declension nouns. It's "onos", not "onus". I've seen some people suggest "onii" with two "i"s... that's even more wrong. The double "i" can only come from having a word end in "ius", in which the "us" is replaced and you get "ii".
The fact is, the word "onos" doesn't follow any Latin forms (note: it follows the second declension plural accusative, but when words are taken from Latin into English, the nominative form is always used) so you shouldn't go sticking Latin pluralizations on there.
The plural is ONOS. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Roo
Now its 401 to 399 for Oni!
We are the winnar!
3 now muhahahahaahahaaaaa
And I see no option for "Look out for the OH S***!" listed.
I think this poll is just a twisted experiment conjured up by the higher ups.
First they keep the poll close...
Then they give "Onos" a slight edge, and sees how the crowd reacts.
Then they give "Oni" a slight edge, and sees how the crowd reacts.
Next thing they'll keep it deadlocked for a couple days to drive us insane!
HAX I tell you! DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!
