<div class="IPBDescription">How I got hammered on cheap vodka.</div> This weekend I wasn't home because I was at a friends house visiting who I haven't seen in well over a year. To "celebrate" I suppose, we did a little social drinking and got him interested in NS. (He just got steam, and counter-strike is his first multiplayer FPS game) In real life, I'm really talkative and funny, I found out that I am, the "Strangely-quiet-drunk" I haven't drank much in the past, but I decided to have a lot since we were at his place with no plans on leaving any time soon. I had 3 beers, 3 smirnoff triple blacks, a mikes hard lemonade, and 2 shots of this REALLY cheap vodka. I was toasted. I couldn't even play NS without constantly laughing. Just thought I'd share. A few folks who I talk to a lot on IRC will read this, and I told them I planned on making up for my crappy new years. In other words, NS+Liquor=hilarity. In many countries of Europe, restricted drinking with meals begins at an early age, and people like Bosnian learn to not ever drink to excess. It may not seem like a smart idea to you, Torgo, but those countries have far less rates of alcoholism than North America, and drunkeness is frowned upon.
If it bothers you that much, Torgo, find (or create) a forum of Temperance or abstemiety (and tell me about it; I want in). They are out there, I'm sure.
Am I the only person defending the practice of intoxication?
Edit - No you're not the only one sadly,you have plenty of idiotic, underaged, naive, booze buddies...that's why it's such a big problem nowadays.

now this is different for each country, and maybe even in the different states in us.
here in denmark we dont have a legal age for drinking, but we have an age for buying alcohol - it was 15, but apparently it was changed to 18 this new years eve.

But seriously, I cannot see why people drink. It just makes em either 1)more depressed 2)hurt themselves 3)argue with everyone or 4)make a royal butt of themselves. Don't make no sense to me.
