Windows Xp Desktop Icons...
<div class="IPBDescription">Windows Update screwed something up</div> Anyone update XP recently and use custom desktop icons? For some reason, my desktop icons keep resetting to the normal XP default after a recent Windows Update.
I know how to change the icons... properties --> desktop --> customize desktop... --> change icon...
I make sure I apply the bloody changes, but every time I start up the computer again, it decides to switch back.
One peculiarity however is when I try to switch the "My Documents" icon; it gives me BS by saying the icon isn't a valid Windows image, but the icon shows up anyways. I'm using the Noia Bogart icon set, and didn't have any problem with this before until my Windows update.
Suggestions?
By the way, does anyone know how to do further icon changes, like for specific exe files, icons from My Computer, Control Panel, etc.? I know you can go to folder options, file types, but I'm managed to screw up my computer twice attempting to swtich icons from there.
