I use these setups (they depend on the situation):
* SKULK: - Regen (hit 'n run) / Cara (kamikazeeeee!!!!) - Celer (speed, baby!) / Adren (when we have leap) - Cloak (ambush) / SoF (gotta know where they are)
* GORGE: - Regen (combat gorge: no1 around 2 heal me) - Celer (theyre slow) / Adren (when i have to bile and have no res to put an mc up next to the building) - Cloak (they're weak) / SoF (gotta know when to hide behind ur ocs when outnumbered)
* LERK: - Regen (Im airbourne and the gorges are on the ground...hmmm...) - Adren (gotta keep flyin') - Cloak (when i have to hide to heal) / SoF (now where did that rine go? ah there he is)
* Fade: - Regen (blink 'n heal at the same time...hehehe...) - Adren (keep blinking) - Cloak (low on hp and gotta hide) / SoF (gotta find 'em)
* ONOS: - Regen (wow thats a sh*tload of healin i get each tick) - Adren (stomp takes up too much energy) / Celer (onos is sloooowww) / Silence (Wait 4 em to pop their heads out) - Cloaking (same as silence above)
Im an awesome blinkhopper and im a patient and fast fade.
I go regen at all times of the game: good for elec RTs, handling 1 or 2 rines no trouble, great for flying around taking minimal hits from groups and even better for handling hvy weapons as long as it isnt a confined space or long halls. The ability to soak all damage from a Lvl 3 HMG and wait for him to reload is a god send.
Cara is too inefficient to have to heal all the time and gets nailed by groups too easily.
Redemption isnt reliable and i prefer to stay in the fight.
Adren is my fav choice to maintain heavy flight levels and be able to slash alot once the rines are reloading. Also useful for meta when your really hurt and good for acid spam but that is just ***.
Celerity is good for blink hopping but coz i like to actually hit first go (not fly past the rine i wanna hit) i stick with adren.
Silence i can see its use especially against HA, but if you want fast silence stick with a skulk. I spend alot of time floating around which is my strength so silence isnt any use when the rines can see me flying even though they cant hear me.
Sof for me is far better for the fact you can judge how many rines in a room before you tackle them and you know exactly where they are too eg: sitting around the armoury.
Cloak is pretty useless for me coz if i wanna cloak walk i onos, gorge or skulk, fade is meant to blink not walk around like a baby.
And finally ambushing is not a fades job leave that to skulks. Ambushing is only useful for taking out rambos but thats not helping the team, knocking out elec nodes is helping the team!

Gorge Gorges early on will often be far away from OC walls. Cloaking may be a better all-round defense. It is all very well if you know a marine is going to appear at hte end of the corridor you are in, but pretty useless if you cant just hear him comming then cloak.
Lerk IMO lerks should always get SoF if they are going to get Sense upgrades at all. They move too fast for cloaking to be useful. (You stand a better chance of survival by flying away than by suddenly freezing.)
Fade This topic is to discus the fades upgrades, yet you missed Clerity! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> It has been pointed out that clerity alows for much faster fade blink, so may be preferable to Adren. Personally, I agree with you. Adren all the way!
Which MC upgrade do you use?? And Silence? For an ONOS? Who needs an ambush when you can charge head long into a pack of LMGrs and take squat damage? Clerity is good though, and Adren can be useful.

Leap comes with 2 hives, so you should have MC by then
