For Those With A Mx700 Mouse

:D
Well, I have recieved the Logitech MX duo ( elite keyboard and mx700 mouse). However, I have heard things that once you instal the itouch software, you can't change/use certain mouse buttons in HL. For anyone who has the mx700 mouse, is this true? The software included is iTouch 2.15, and Logitech Control Center 1.1. Thanks.

I have the MX700 and I've heard its a problem with the MouseWare suite. Personally, on my computer, I dont have a problem with it and I can use all the buttons fine. But on my brother's computer, I had to install the drivers manually and not use their program to get it to work.

It's true. I have an MX500. What you do is download the latest version of iTouch, right-click on it and choose "Extract with WinRAR" (You need WinRAR), then update the driver manually. It's pretty self-explanatory.

Eh? I got a MX500 and it works fine. I installed the mouseware stuff on the product page, then got the advaced stuff since I've heard about this, but I've never had to use it.

I'm talking about the buttons. And it's only happened when I've had MouseWare.

Well, there are generic Windows drivers. They work fine.

I have the same thing going on right now. Both in game and here. Snap on is off.

Screw the Logitech drivers. I heard they disabled the wheel in game, so I never installed them. My MX700 works fine. I can't use the eight button, but it's not like I need it.

Actually, I figured out what the problem is. The opticals don't like reflective mousepands ;/

I have never had any luck with logitech drivers. Their hardware is good but they couldn't write a driver to save their lives.

So true, except my keyboard drivers are good. I never installed my mouse drivers because by default my side button is "back" while surfing (I have the cordless optical mouse) and I can bind it as mouse4 ingame.
