<div class="IPBDescription">You think it's any good?</div> Alright, I need to get me a new video game. So I start thinking, I liked FF X, why not give FF X2 a shot? But then again, it seems like they just crapped out a new game so all the FF X fanboys like me would pay for it. Has anyone here played it yet? Is it worth $50?

The Movie's not coming out for while. Null, I suggest you get something else.
I take it EB / Game still has their 10 day returns policy wherever you are, so buy it and if you don't like it make sure you take it back within that time. Even if they just give you store credit, you're not stuck with what you feel is a crappy game.
Advent Children is pretty. They announced that and Kingdom Hearts 2 at the same time.
Oh yeah- FF X-2 is a game made for masturbation, and I say that with the utmost seriousness. Just because I look at the screenshots, and all I can think is, "And Yuna is supposed to be a Virgin?!"
Got Max Payne 2 on friday and completed it this morning (Sunday), maybe I should think about doing just that.....
On the FFX-2 front though, I would consider renting it. General consensus on the Penny-arcade forums seems to be that if you can survive the first 4 hours (allegedly 4 hours as embarrasing to watch as the laughing scene from FFX), you actually get to the plot, and can begin to enjoy the game.
I'm going to rent it, and if I like it i'm buying it. Second hand mind you and probably off ebay.

Well, we don't know EXACTLY what happened in that pool in Macalania woods <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
Some people think such a massive change in Yuna's personality is wrong, but I think someone on (yet again) the PA forums put it best:
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->Yuna has gone from a life where her only two choices in life were failure or death, and now she can do whatever her teen self wants. A Dating Sim with fighting? Hahahaha.
That's exactly what I was afraid of.

I think it fits to...people can change ^^ and it has been 2 years sooo GOGO YUNA GOGO!!!...
Press mute and you might be able to stand it. I had to turn it off when they were all like "SING FOR US YUNNNEH, SING~~~~~." Ugh.
Well, he is rather helpful.
Plot: I do like how it lets you revisit the old characters and see what's up now that it's the Calm. However, regarding the ending (specifically the 100% ending) DEAR GOD WHY. I loved the FFX ending because it managed to be beautiful in a sad way... now they go and ruin it. I won't spoil it for you, but let's just say if you liked FFX's ending, you won't like this one.
In general: It doesn't take itself seriously, and you shouldn't take it seriously either. It's just a fun little game where you can run around and do some goofy sidequests while going through a haphazard "main" plot with some vague substance to it. Come on, they do Charlie's Angels poses RANDOMLY.
Also: Much like DoA Volleyball, it's a very girly game marketed to guys. Eyecandy for you (girls in short skirts, near-nudity scenes), girly things for us (getting lots of outfits, girly colors abound, Girl Power!-ness every so often).
Things I didn't like: Re-used environments. There's not a whole lot of new things to look at in terms of environments, or even enemies. The CG is good, and yet... facial structures look very odd in the FMVs for some reason, at least to me. Some of the outfits are TERRIBLE, and there are a lot of them.
Last words: 20-40 hour game. I hit over 30 going for the Perfect ending, so I assume it's doable in a much shorter time. Borrow it from a friend, but it's not worth the current price, at least in my opinion. It does, however, let you start a New Game+ after completion, so it's got some replay value (esp if you want to go for the better endings).
