Not really. I mean, if you want a cd by an artist, is some website going to stop you?
Just because Metallica have big warning images saying they're a part of the RIAA, doesn't mean that Master Of Puppets is going to rock any less than it did before i knew that, is it?
So the company sues people for stealing music, so what. Nobody complains about getting charged for shoplifting if they steal from a store, do they? If you break the damned law, face up to what you did and stop acting like a moron.
BTW, if someone wants to delve deeper into the discussion of the legetimacy of filesharing, I suggest you use the other 'Other'-forum

if i get caught.. i wont plead its unfair.. i know what im doing.. just like when i rode my bike @ 130 mph.. it was right that they tore up my license...
dont do the crime if you cant do the time.
Exactly. And on the same note - don't download from filesharing services if you're not willing to keep your uploads on. Kazaa Lite doesn't work because everyone said "Oh, I just love downloading X - but return the favour? Screw off - I don't wanna get sued."
*sigh*
Honour among thieves? Nah, I didn't think so..
nice Nem

The RIAA was Convicted of price fixing and got a slap on the wrist. Ask yourself why a CD costs nearly the same amount as a DVD, even though the latter costs millions more to produce. Ask yourself why CDs cost more than tapes even though tapes are several times as expensive to produce. Its price fixing and it is illegal. They also have the influence in Washington to rewrite copyright law (which they have done).
The RIAA is a classic example of a destructive cartel.
For me, morally, that voids their right to their intellectual property. The only way to diminish their power is to hurt them economically, which is exactly what I hope to do.
Welcome to the real world where people break laws, and only the poor and unlucky are left to deal with the consequences.
roofies and sex w/ minors is ILLEGAL, liku.
anyway, yeah that's a funny site. i might send some of those to my mother. lol
all you can do is go "...heh.." when you get the "NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL MUSIC VOL. 12" cd. it's not what YOU call music, and it's not even the newest volume. oh well. i've gotten like 3 of those.
*EDIT* Congrats on 6000+ posts gramps
*EDIT2* I wont flame you about improper grammar because you can ban me....oops! *nervous laugh*

The funniest part is the "Children's Corner" on the side panel. Really funny.
