Irc Room?

I'm kinda nomadic when it comes to games n stuff and with the way most messaging thingies are built I usually end up with several private conversations going so it's hellish. I was wondering if there was a server that'd let me make a room (complete with opbot) on IRC for just keeping in touch or if there was some sorta messaging service that did something similar?

I'm just getting annoyed with having such a hard time keeping up with everyone and MSN messenger has become such a nightmare for me (lucky if I get less than 8 windows popping up from people when I sign on). I like chatting, but having to hold private conversations with so many people actually stresses me out... I'm too polite to say 'shush' and I usually want to speak to them all anyways, just not individually all at the same time. That's why I like IRC and MMOs; everyone in one place together ^^

Anyone got a way of helping me out with this lil dilema or got advice on starting up an IRC room? =/

    RPG, that only holds 5 people which means I'm still split across at least 3 conversations =/
    MSN just doesn't do it. Too many convos and not enough me to cover them all without going mad lol.

    I am on IRC coolie, just not NS ^^;

    like I said, I just need one central place I can talk to everyone because jumping about or being in multiple rooms is just driving me nuts =P

    Make a room in IRC (Join it alone)

    Go to #support on gamesnet. Wait your turn. Say "I'd like to register #channel name for my friends and I" and they will authorize you etc and it only takes a few seconds. Pretty soon a Chanserv will join it. yay you now have a channel!

    - Create a Q account
    - Auth to Q
    - Join a channel that doesn't exist
    - Invite 3 of your friends
    - Op tham on your new chan
    - Wait 4 hours with the 4 people opped
    - Go to the QuakeNet website
    - Log in
    - Click on Services
    - Ask for L
    - Wait 1 or 2 seconds
