Longest one I had was 3 1/2 hours. That was the greatest game I ever played. We didn't know who would win unil the last 30 secs.

Well it was the longest ive ever played. Lets keep this topic open and people can post their longets game.

EDIT: It was like that for us too. We were camping the hive for ages then a few marines(Includeing me <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>) Flew out on their jets packs through the vents to marine start. From there we put a phase knifed the res put up alot of turrets and moved on to refinery. We had refinery but we seiged in a very cramped spot and the lerks just killed us. After refinery went down marine start did too. ALl we had left was the hive (which was engine) We from there played for 50 minutes until the aliens organised themselves and rushed us with 5 onos, and 3 lerks. This killed us. Even after wave after waves of onos and fades we still hanged on but when we add lerks= loose.

7 hour game in 1.04.

Considering the number of broken strats that existed in that version, I'm amazed that aliens won that ages, perhaps because I was giving a hand <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

Good to see that epic games are still alive and kicking despite NS's faster games for 2.0/3.0...

I played in a 3-hour one, but during the last hour, it was obvious that the aliens had won. Still, we tried a lot of different things to take some RTs, and that only occasionally worked. After the game ended, everyone agreed that it was a great game.

Hmmm. I've played a 5-way lan game which we left running for about 5 hours while we went out. Somehow I dont think that counts.

Description : Rines were seiged in the engine Hive room and we kept Onus <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'> rushing the engine room for about an hour, and then finally we all went together with two Lerks and they sprayed that Gas and we (Finally) Smashed the place up!

This game isn't the superextrahypermegalongest out there.
I usually play on Finnish servers, and aliens and marines are doing really fast and good job. The length of one game is usually somewhere between 20 and 30 mins. Haven't played over 40min game for months!

When NS was younger, 1.03 and 1.04, the games were really much longer. I remember playing only 3 hour games. But 7 hours, that's a lot. ;)

Its all very welll saying "7hour games" to make yourself look good, but get proof from server logs or even print screen like the other guy did. That will decide who truly has the longest outstanding game of continious NS playing.

I commanded a 3-4 hour game back in 1.04. We only just won but it was teh pwn <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'> I was of breath because I was talking so much and when I stood up I fell back down. What servers do you guys that have had these long games play on? I am really at my wits end with these servers where games only alst 20 minutes and its all one sided, because the aliens **** the res, or where we dont have a comm for the first 5 mins...
Please share, i really want a decent server to play in

I've played games that were around 3-4 hours long, but nothing any farther than that, because eventually one side barracades themselves in and then runs out of resources. Atleast for the games I've played through, not sure how yours have turned out.

heared of <b>6-7 hour games in 1.04</b> and joined a <b>4 hour game in 2.0 </b>.

Funny thing about the 4 hour game is that marines had only 8 ips (and absolutely nothing else) for the last 3 hours at a Hive Location were onoses and fades hardly could life long enough to do any damage and aloin teamwork was too bad to bring in bilebombing gorges.

Seen many <b>3 hour games in any ns version</b> also, marines just holding a hive and one more RT (most times their spawn).
Not even 7 onoses plus good teamwork with other classes (no noob servers also) could break it AND there was no gl spam and <20 turrets at one location.

I played a game for over 2.5 hrs last night and it wasn't close to being finished, but I saw the time, and went to sleep <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'>. Practically all the games I play now are only around 30 mins long, but it is not one sided (sometimes marines win, sometimes aliens win).

About 4 hours on ns_caged back with ns v1. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'> It was like 3 in the morning and i was dead on my feet so i just had to go to bed and never did find out if we broke the deadlock, i was alien. I love the epic games. Bring them back!

wow to the guy who had 7 hour game.

i had 6 hours 17 min. back in NS 1.0

I thought it would never end.

I was marine, we killed the hives 22 times and they took them back ever time. We had to relocate at least a dozen times.

By the end there were only 6 others besides me who had played the game all the way through. We ended up winning by some miracle, by then the aliens would just put up another hive every time we took them out.

Some other guy and I finaly found the last gorge hiding in the hive zone near a SC. I heard him pop out of the egg. And it was finaly over.

And yea i didnt play ns for like a couple days. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>
