<div class="IPBDescription">and lack of sleep</div> I know there were a whole bunch of final threads already, but this one is somewhat different....maybe.

Anyway, I'm a junior in highschool and this year I have 6 finals in the following classes : Economy, Anatomy and Physiology (Honors class), U.S. History, 11th English, Algebra 2 (honors class), and last of all.....Spanish 2.

Tomorrow I'm taking my history final , math final, and my english final and so far I've studied for a little over 7 hours and I'm still not nearly finished (and it's 3:07 am!!!!) By the time this week is over, I probably wouldnt have slept for more than a total of 4 or 5 hours, within a matter of over 72 hours.

In the last 2 days of studying for finals I've read The Hobbit, Without Remorse, The Crucible and around 4 or 5 short stories. It's been a total of over 2,000 pages of just the novels/plays I've read. I practically have read my whole entire school book for econ, history and english.

Last night I studied finals for 9 hours and I got 1 hour of sleep. Tonight I won't even sleep becuase I have to get up at 5:30 to lift weights for football training. 8 cups of coffe (black hard coffe - no sugar or anything) does wonders.....

That's my little summary thing..... <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->
----------------------------------------------------------

Now I have some questions....

How many hours did you guys get of sleep while studying for finals?

Did you read nearly as much as I did?

How many finals did you have?

And last of all.... What the hell did you guys do to stay up so late and study.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now time to study for history (which is going to suck hardcore).....

sorry 'bout the long thread.... <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I'm a Journalism major, junior, in university.

    1. Time Slept: I haven't a clue. Not a whole lot. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    2. Nope. I tend to remember what I've read, at least in plays and literature and so forth,so I just have to do quick reviews. I did review my entire AIDS virology book, though.

    3. I had four finals. Second-year Japanese, AIDS Virology & Sociology, English 28C (Romance & Realism in Literature), and one which was a Studio Arts final I did at home (I spent something something like 8+ hours on a single charcoal drawing).

    4. My roommate had to stay up even more than I did, so we kept each other awake by general chatter and throwing of small objects. Also, caffeine and snacks. I took a couple of extra showers as well, which helps.

    Good luck on your exams!

    In England we have exams in January, which really sucks hard because you get back from the X-mas holidays having done none of the revision you were supposed to have done, and then have 2 week to panic because of aforementioned lack of revision.

    dog shock colors do wonders. You see you put the collar on wrap the wire round it. (the wire that sends the shock signal if you cross it). Give your trusted* friend the switch for the power and tell him/her to turn it on when you begin to dose off.

    now you can stay awake for hours on end. Only death will stop you from studying.... and your friend falling asleep. (2 shock collars helps)

    Never. I have a memory like a steel trap. AKA, I can hear somthing one time, and with a minimal review, I can remember it and put it to use in a test situation. Of course, at our school, they actually tested us on things we needed to know (AKA, we didn't ever have to do things like memorize all the presidents) allthough we DID have to memorize part of the periodic table - fun!

    I never compromise myself to less than 6 hours of sleep for a test, even a final.

    I tend to focus more on this crazy concept of learning the material during the class instead of right before the tests :/

    Some classes I didn't even study for the final this semester.

    But there was one class where I studied for ~12 hours over the course of 2 days. It was the class from hell that I mentioned in my own finals thread.

    In the leadup to my final exams for:

    Maths B
    Maths C
    Physics
    Chemistry
    Information Processing Technologies
    English

    I got High Achievements for all my subjects except physics for which I got a Very High Achievement. I got an Overall Position of 4 out of 25. One being the highest.

    I slept a solid 8 hours per night, every night. Sleep is FAR more important than study.
