As far as I'm concerned, FC is 'the' game to mod for in the future, along probably with HL2. If you watch that crytek video I posted up above, you'll see why. It opens up modding to tons of people with creative vision but perhaps not the experience that would be required for a iD/Valve/Epic-based engine. A moddable engine for the masses.

No, it was a decent game that <i>could</i> have been great if Piranha Bytes knew a damn thing about easy starts. The ungodly difficulty for beginners ("A wasp! Run!") ruined it for too many people.

The pen-and-paper version of "Das Schwarze Auge" is being translated into English as we speak. However, they're calling it <a href='http://www.thedarkeye.net/' target='_blank'>The Dark Eye</a>, because "<a href='http://www.bartleby.com/61/78/B0297800.html' target='_blank'>black eye</a>" sounds too much like domestic violence.

Oh yeah, thanks, I had forgotten about Incubation. That'd be the exception from my rule, then.

Not trying to bring all you 'Freedom Friers' here out, but French devs are for some reason as obscure as the one that keeps Germans from creating quality generally producing really innovative yet fun games with very special styling. A pity they're seldomly mass-market capable.
I dont really think you know anything about games at all, WHO ARE YOU REALLY!!! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Is this friend Barney? Far Cry's most famous mapper is Barney, maker of DE_Aztec, and a couple of NS maps that almost made it into official status for version 1. He's a pretty decent guy, if you're into limeys. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

could've sworn his name was narby <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
<a href='http://csnation.counter-strike.net/barney/' target='_blank'>websiet</a>
<a href='http://csnation.counter-strike.net/barney/index.php?page=maps&map=ns_romana' target='_blank'>ns_romana</a>
the website is called barney's world, the mapper is called narby (barney, the security guard that repeatedly gets raped by headcrabs) and yes, narby could be scrambled barney sans 'e'
and he made my favorite cs map: de_vertigo ... play it with ninjarope for amxmod
