<div class="IPBDescription">.......</div> I was watching Headline news just a few minutes ago (I know, it's a shocker, I was just learning about the saddam capture) when they started talking about how flu death tolls were rising.
After they talked about the death tolls, they mentioned that there's a shortage of flu test kits. Stating that there were usually 2 million flu tests done per year and this year it was expanding by a lot. This got me to thinking......
WHO THE HELL NEEDS A TEST TO TELL THEM IF THEY HAVE THE FLU??!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?
I thought that the worst part about the flu was the symptoms, so you either have the flu and know you have it, or don't and really shouldn't care.
Someone enlighten me as to why someone would pay someone else and waste a couple hours of a day just to know if they have the flu.

Patient: I think I have the flu.
Doctor: Okay sit down and Ill test you
Patient: Kay. (sits down)
Doctor: (places hand on patients forehead) Nope you dont have the flu.
Patient: Phew, thats a relief
Doctor: That'll be 500 Dollar with tax. Pay in hard cash and small bills.
You need to test because that fever may be caused by, say, ebola, instead of the flu. Giving the wrong treatment can cause more problems than doing nothing at all.
