well my basic strat is....imagine Veil, cargo as hive no reloc

    - whack down a tf, armory, and ip
    - give someone you know (ie not some nubcaek) a pack of mines and tell him to put em tightly around structures
    - tell your rines cargo is hive and that you want all the RTs along line of pipeline and subsector
    - drop the RTs at west skylights, overlook, subsector, topographical, c12, and pipeline as they go. only elec the ones at sub and pipe
    - start upgrading. get obs/arms lab, get phase tech, armor1, and upgrade armory, MT if you have enough res flow and res to get it
    - if you have the res, elec c12/overlook RTs
    - tell your rines to try take double res while you keep upgrading, my order is armor1, weapon 1 2 3 and armor 2 3 (though armor 3 only if i feel i can spare the res)
    - tell your rines you want phase gates at sub and pipeline, and drop a pg at base while they build the hive ones
    - if fades appear anywhere during this stage, call your 2-3 best players to base for a shotgun so they can go fade hunting
    - your armory should be upgraded by now, build a proto lab and research HA
    - tell your rines to put a bit of pressure on cargo until HA is done
    - hand out HA/HMG/Welder (some comms only drop HA/SG to spare res. DONT. HA/HMG is simply 10 times better because sg is only effective in onos stomping range, and you can put in a GL or two if there be structures)
    - go own them

of course a lot can happen which affects this strat but use this as a basic and if you have some experience you can alter it to your own wishes and adapt as the game progresses.

And also, its not nice to blame your team if you lose a game. i always say "well, nice try anyway marines, you did good, aliens were just better". i only once got mad in the chair cos a team of 5 HA were welding stuff in double res when our siege outpost on 2nd hive was going down cus it was unprotected <_<
but usually, its not the teams fault if they lose. sure they cant hit a barn door from 1 metre, but blaming people for lack of aim/skill is not the way to go <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

also, just knowing what to do isnt gonna win games as comm. you just need to practise on quick replies on medpack/ammo requests, quickly telling your rines whats going on, learn siege spots etc. that all comes with experience.
