My New Computer

Hey folks,
There's no way I could afford this myself, but I find myself in the incredibly lucky position where I'm being offered my "dream machine" as a Christmas present. Needless to say, I am stunned and very grateful. Because I spend so much time working on NS, I wanted a laptop, so I could make pretend I have a life and not be stuck in one room for years on end.
So after many weeks of "agony", looking over various Dells, Sagers, Alienwares and Voodoos, I've finally decided on the laptop I'm going to get. It's the Voodoo M-355, and is one sweet machine. My main requirements are that it's upgradeable, so I could both work on NS on it, and also work on NS2 (or whatever comes next) on it as well. The Voodoos are upgradeable, and are fit for development, gaming, or showing off. They are hand-built, and seriously high-quality.
I'm getting it pretty fully loaded up, and one of the great things about Voodoo, is they let you customize it with your own artwork. I'm sure it's really hard to guess what I would put on it....Squeal Like a Pig was so nice to make this artwork for me, and wow, does his work really shine. I had to send them a 500 dpi hi-res image of this thing, and until you've seen a hi-res 50 meg version of Squeal's artwork, you haven't really appreciated his talents. Attached is the low-res mockup of it (the black is a sports-car black sparkly high-gloss finish).
I'll be sure to post pictures of the beast when it arrives. One thing's for sure, it will turn heads...
If you ever see someone with a machine that looks like this, please come over and say hi, and if he isn't me, please call the authorities...

(P.S. - Squeal's art pwns. :o)
a.) Work on devoloping and playtesting NS all day
b.) Have people send you money, and lots of it, I'm hard-pressed to get my friends to loan me .50 for a soda
c.) Get offered a dream computer
d.) Get to send people X-mas cards the size of Delaware
How do people become so lucky...

I'm sure it's not exactly up to the level you would make if you, say, made a retail game that was even half as good as Natural Selection.
Awesome computer though. Voodoo makes some of the best stuff in the business.
<-- needs a better computer...maybe two: one laptop and one desktop and a cable to transfer between them...that'd be nice.
and is it true what I hear, that you live in Vermont?
/me is jealous
If I ever get another computer, I want to get some sort of NS pic on it now....
*EDIT* Great, now I'm going to have nightmares from staring at that eye for too long.
