nancy.. inspired by PerfectionsFlaw?s drawing posted in the artwork section.
im not aiming for any polycount on this one,because its not a ns model replacement, so it will have as many polygons my machine can handle.. (and thats alot)
i want to give the existent ns marine outfit my own touch, because the ingame models shape is very restricted by its polycount,only the texture is touching it up a bit , but i think i would have to keep some parts low in detail.. otherwise its not the marine armor anymore <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
oh... now the pics.. heres her head,still a lil bit rough.. like a doodle these pics.. im working on the helmstraps,and the laserthingie at the moment, and then i will touch up the details a lil bit more..
i hope i get time to finish this.. lol ... i dont want to get this one forgotten on my hd like tons of other models never finished because of a lack of time..

Hmm, looks very neat, but I think the head's a little to small for the helmet. Check out the side shot, and think where the eyes would be. Maybe I'm wrong and it's just part of the manga style.

EDIT: I was immediately bitched out for this on IRC, so let me add a Brainless Anime/Manga (whaterever you little hipsters are calling it) Twit. Just like they all are, so there can be no confusion that I'm some sort of woman hater.
P.S. I wish the game would be realistic, (and if this model WAS a replacement model) and that anytime someone using this model saw lights he/she would be instantly blinded due to the massive side of the pupils. ALSO: I don't really think that many women would jump on the NS lady-type model bandwagon. #1 If someone made a Male Anime model I'd personally feel insulted. #2 It's not like female players aren't hit on enough ingame. #3 only creepy 30 year old guys and 12 year old boys would use the model. Thanks.

1. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
2. Sheena is Japanese.
3. The term, "manga," generally refers to Japanese "inconsequential art" [comics].
4. The term, "animé," generally refers to Japanese moving pictures [sometimes movies, sometimes film--yes, there is a difference].
5. Sheena is a long-time student of one of the manga greats, Shirow Masamune. Her understanding of the "manga" style employed by him is exceptional [considering she's seen more of his personal and his studio's work than anyone else here is liable to see in their lifetimes]. While I agree that her execution is not nearly as fantastic as Shirow himself, that model is very faithful to the rules of the style as described by many of the greats of the genre.
6. Not everyone is going to enjoy the same things. This is something that is a major aspect of what makes humans as diverse and wonderful as we supposedly are. If you don't feel any attraction to a particular project here, you're more than welcome to simply leave it alone and either start your own project, or find an other to your liking to support. If I'm not impressed with something, I don't feel any need to tell the person off or try to discount their choice of methodology. This is considered rude because it serves no purpose but to bolster your own self-image by diminishing someone else's. There is enough crap people have to put up with in real life without having to put up with it when they're trying to be creative.
7. If you can't understand any of that, feel free to tell me so in a PM and let this thread be. You were not forced to post here. You were not forced to look at those images.
8. That circle on her temple is the hinge for the visor on her helmet. Not, as you seem to take great pride in insinuating, her brain.

She doesn't work directly for him, but has done contract work for his studio that has provided her the opportunity to visit those who do work directly for him and see the things his studio produces, many of which is never used, but is no less as amazing as anything else he's ever done.

P.S. I wish the game would be realistic, (and if this model WAS a replacement model) and that anytime someone using this model saw lights he/she would be instantly blinded due to the massive side of the pupils. ALSO: I don't really think that many women would jump on the NS lady-type model bandwagon. #1 If someone made a Male Anime model I'd personally feel insulted. #2 It's not like female players aren't hit on enough ingame. #3 only creepy 30 year old guys and 12 year old boys would use the model. Just become you dislike the form of art and animation called "Anime" doesn't mean its stupid, its YOUR opinion, if you don't like it, say you don't like it, you don't have to insult it becuase of your personal view. I could careless if you hated anime, but sheena is very very talented, and insulting her work just becuase its Manga Styled is rediculious.
