Flayra inspired me (<a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=1&t=55411&st=30' target='_blank'>Information Overload</a>) to pose this question:
What alien, if cooked, would provide the juiciest meat?
I would say the gorge. If we cut away all the fat, I feel it'd taste like chicken, but better.
Or lean skulk meat... hmm...

I think the Fade would sort of be our flanksteak/filet mignon.
Onos, definitely beef.
Lerk might not work as chicken since it's so small... I'm inclined to say that Lerk would be a delicacy. (frog legs)
And skulk? I wouldn't really want to eat skulk, I can imagine the meat would be very tough.
That and the fact that it could possibly explode in mid-meal.
But I agree, skulks would taste nasty. Stringy, tough meat... and of course, the meat from ANY carnivore is NASTY. Which means I don't think Onos would taste good either. Only Gorges and Fades don't have a bite attack, so one could conjecture that they aren't meat eatters... though if fades aren't carnivores, it's hard to imagine what they would be, so that leaves just the gorge.
By the way, carnivores taste nasty due to energy use and storage. Initial energy, more or less, stems from the sun, which is used directly by plants. Herbavores eat plants, and store a portion of that energy in their flesh. Carnivores eat herbavores, and store a portion of that energy in their flesh, but the stored energy by this point isn't very plentiful, and it's not worth it to try eatting them, esspecially as carnivores can usually fight back better than herbavores. So it's been designed into the system that carnivores taste crappy.

The manual says that the teeth was made to just rip flesh and cause bleeding. Not for acual eating.
The Best tasting meal is:
TSA a'la King
Ingreedients
1 - TSA Marine after being digested.
2lb - Onos horn
3sp - Ground Lerk spike
2 - Gorge retractable mouths
4 - Fade hearts
1lb - Skulk eyes
2cans - furaii soup
Cut the Human into chunks, and put in a bowl, add in the chopped Onos Horn and Ground Lerk Spike. In another bowl Mix together the Gorge Mouths diced finely, crushed Skulk eyes and the 4 fade hearts. Pre heat a pot and pour in the Feraii soup, the add the first bowl of mix, allow to cook for 5 mins before adding the 2nd bowl and continue to cook until the smell makes you throwup!
Servers 6 to 8 Skulks

have you ever taken <i>any</i> sort of biology class? teeth made for ripping flesh designate carnivore nature..
is anybody here a chef or a biology student? well i, being both, must clarify that:
-most of you are probably correct about the gorge being fatty and make good bacon if it tasted right.
-but all the other animals (besides lerk) would have tremendously dense musculature and generally be very stringy.. ever had a free-range chicken whose muscles were too dense? multiply that by a million. that's why we don't eat the racehorses' hind legs. or tires.
-the lerk, on the other hand, probably doesn't have much real meat at all. flight requires very light structure. it'd be like a cornish game hen.
-those of you who suggested cannibalism probably aren't far off. cannibals like to eat humans, so we must taste alright.
but.. you're thinking inside the box, guys!
