Chalk up another statistic for Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins (Where Matthew Shephard died of his wounds after being tied to a fence and beaten), because Nov 21, Joseph Williams died of Type A respiratory failure caused by Influenza. Colorado's got the biggest outbreak of 'flu they've ever seen, school attendance is out 30%... and I'm right in the middle of it all!     Which I find especially ironic with a name like yours XD

    Nah, I've had the symptoms twice within 3 weeks. Thankfully I have a very strong immune system and it rarely gets worse.

    I've allready had mine, so, gods willing, I won't get sick again for another year or so. I have a pretty strong immune system.

    The flu is not really that bad, atleast not in my measurement.
    Nearly died from a throat infection (dont know the english word <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo--> ) had 41.x in feber and had allergic response to the anti-biotika I was taking, that wasnt fun <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    last year, I had it one day REALLY bad...

    I had to make 8 trips to the bathroom that night, about 45mins between each trip, and I started dryheaving, so I had to drink alot of liquids (NON-ALCOHOLIC Smoke Nova)....

    I don't have a very good immune system, so I hope I wont catch it. I'm usually 2-4 times sick every year but now I haven't been for pretty long time. Hopefully this christmas is different and I don't have to lie in my bed through the holidays.

    I've probably had about a million different cold/flu viruses go through me; as a result, each new cold is weaker than the last one; the flu others get usually just gives me a mild cold or something that lasts a day or so.     Having said that, heavy colds/flu are no fun. I've had some where it feels like someone stuck a blender in your brain, turned it on and let it spin for a while. You can forget trying to do anything requiring concentation, and even basic things like typing become very confusing, it's almost like being permanently drunk, only, without any of the "positive" effects... It's horrible.
    Oh, did I mention the headaches/migranes, the sinus pain, stomach upsets, chest problems and fever that go with them?

    Vitamin C = godly. Get lots of it if you think you might be getting a cold/flu. It will help lots. Trust me <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I got a flu shot this fall (YEA to Free Health Care!!!).

    But now I have a really bad cough and I am hacking up all kinds of ugly ****... Oh wait thats because I am a smoker....
