just got one simple question.
Will i be able to play ns without installing any other steam game (line hl or cs).

aslong as you have a valid half life cd key then thats fine, u will be able to play ns without installing half life (only steam which has a half life install with it) but thats when 3.0 comes out.

will ns be playablke like cs. so i don't have to install the steam halflife.
cs is playable without installing steam hl.
so will ns be the same ?

Currently you need to have Half-Life installed, but when v3.0 becomes public you'll be able to play NS without HL.

Either way you'll need steam for 3.0. I'm not sure whether that requires Half-Life or not.

Since Natural-Selections will show up under my games and not as third party (read <a href='http://www.natural-selection.org' target='_blank'>Natural-Selection</a> main site), I guess it will work alone. Everything that is under third party will need Half-Life.

NS 3.0 will show up as a first-party game, according to the news page that is.

right now 2.0 requires half-life to be installed, but when 3.0 comes out it will be a "stand-alone"game like half life or cs, or dod or tfc or dmc or ricochet, or the dedicated server, meaning it will be installed in steam/steamApps/<your e-mail>/(ns or Natural-Selection)it will act without piggybacking on the regular half-life, and have its own hl.exe

Good, I didn't want to have to manually install steam.
