what the hell... transformers is on the list? yeah, real dangerous when animated robots shoot each other with laser guns, cuz you know, robots and lazers are easy for a child to come by.

People who do these sort of things need to be executed or sent to mars to form their own colony. The only problem is if they eventually destroy the Earth with 0-grav missiles.

It hasn't even been out an entire week and of course it such a well known game in that entire one week. I'm sure all the 5 year olds have it.
I haven't killed anybody yet either, and I was born and raised in the 80's, lots of violent cartoons then!! I still wonder why when I order something it doesn't get delivered right away though...
[rant] The eighties officially ended for me with the death of quality, violent saturday morning cartoons on the major broadcast networks (NBC, CBS, ABC). When cartoons started getting preachy and moral infested, then a part of me died. Especially with NBC, when they started showing "Saved by the Bell" and continued the trend of "Saturday Morning Live Action Shows with Morals", that is the true day the eighties died for me.[/rant]

I think the "Thats nice crazy lady" sums it up best
Its just the same argument all over again, parents who don't want or don't know how to control there own children (ie not stopping them acquiring an 18 cert/M cert game when they're only 10) try to make the companies and government responsible. The incompetency (Is that even a word?) of modern parents is highlighted to me on a daily basis in my place of work when I see kids asking for stuff and the parent just can't say no
Are the ESRB guidelines actually inforced? I mean, if you sell a kid GTA3 are you going to get fined? I've only been carded for a game once, but that was when I was 19. If they are being inforced WHY ARE THEY ****? It's no different then trying to get into an R rated movie as a kid.

keep in mind what they are doing. They're not asking for these games/toys to be banned! They're only listing the ones they feel are the most violent (of course they might be a little confused). What do we usually say when people try to ban violent games? It is the parents' responsibility to monitor their childrens access to violent content as they see fit. This group trying to help parents know in advance how to monitor incoming media and things.
