So I'm sitting here staring at adobe premeire trying to make my first AMV, and then I realised I have no idea how to use it. If anyone could point me to some tuts it would be appreciated. Or, if anyone here has tried to use premeire and they know it sucks, could you tell me what program would be better/easier to use. Thanks.

    I absolutely hate Premiere.

In all honesty, Windows Movie Maker (comes free w/ XP) is my favorite movie editor ever. Main reason is because it is **FAST**. Very very fast. Unlike Premiere and Ulead.

There isn't much you can do with it but for your first video editing experience that's plenty. Have fun w/ the canned filters.

Adobe Premiere is a very powerfull tool that was provided with my Matrox RT2000. I really can't point you to some tutorials, since one was provided with the version and besides, I am a self learner. Explore and try things!

Has anyone ever tried the apple iMovie? (I think that's what it's called) I htink iMovie is the best there is...I used it for a movie class once, very easy to use and just overall a fun program

Anyway, I think the windows movie editor is better...premire is too much work I think....

My friend who's heavy into video editing uses Premiere and Final Cut, if that says anything.

I guess Premiere is higher end?

Where? where?! I wanted to make one of these myself, but I don't have a spare $300 lying around to buy editing software.

Then you're not using XP. Or it might only be in Pro. I dunno.

    I'm guessing the latter.

Hmmm, well... I'm using XP Home, and I have it. Try typing "C:\Program Files\Movie Maker\moviemk.exe" (sans quotes) into Start/Run, AllUrHive.
