it's a shame really. I always found greece looked so blissfully happy. I guess this was merely on the surface.

I daresay that this won't last very long - Greece is part of the EU, and as such may not perform censorship.

They banned it because they want to eliminate gambling. I SERIOUSLY doubt this will last long, for one reason or another.

Who gambles on computer games anyway? If someone is that desperate to gamble your gonna find something. Hey, if they gamble over who is gonna be elected to a seat then will they ban politicians?

They are banning anything you can gamble on. This is pretty stupid to me, because you can gamble on a coin toss. hehe...

It's physically impossible to stop a determined gambler.  Sounds like insanity to me.  Was this a proposal for a change in the law or actual action?

It was an actual action (there were even some police-raids in net-cafes) but I think this won't last long as most of the greeks don't support this law.

eh... the cloning ban was to prevent people from crossing the line between organ cloning and full human cloning.  The bio-research you refer to is probably stem cell research, banned due to the needed destruction of an embryo.

this is one of the stupidest laws I've ever seen, especially when its to try to stop gambling. I know for a fact this isnt a hoax.
