Hi, I was reading the thread about the soviet reskin idea, and figured, hey, why not give it a shot.
I'm new to the whole skinning dealy, but the half-life model viewer made it a lot less intimidating.
Anyway, here's my first attempt at reskinning.

<img src='http://se.x0r.us/beigegoo/images/rmg2.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
<img src='http://se.x0r.us/beigegoo/images/rmg3.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>
I had one of the Heavy Armor, but it needs more work <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
Anyway, I know it leaves something to be desired; I will try to take suggestions, but keep in mind my skill with this is limited.
Once I'm satisfied it doesn't totally suck I'll post a download <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

releasageeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Btw did Brigadierwolf ever release a complete pack of his "Russian" marine sounds. Maybe some Russian could make real Russian sounds. I speak the language but my accent is till a bit strange <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->.
Anyone have any references?
Grab the CS Automat's irons and slap 'em on.

indeed very nice. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
but... mhm... there was a hacked LMG model out there that looked quite a bit like the AK-47 (the mag was just attached under the gun :o )
I'd like to see this one with your skin <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Anyway, <a href='http://se.x0r.us/beigegoo/archive2/soviet_mg.zip' target='_blank'>here is VERSION ONE.</a> Now with curved clip and no sight.
<a href='http://se.x0r.us/beigegoo/archive2/soviet_mg.zip' target='_blank'><img src='http://se.x0r.us/beigegoo/archive2/sov_mgv1.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'></a>
I was thinking this whole Soviet motif could make an interesting Marine vs. Marine scenario sometime.
Perhaps the Soviet LMG could have a larger clip and faster firing rate but worse accuracy and barrel rise.
I'm planning to add the iron sights later if I can find that model Revolver's talking about, and a remodeling of the stock once I figure out how... also, new sounds, some model changes to the front end also. And fixing the clip model and clip reload animations...
