Can't Install A Game

Not cause I don't know.....
OK, first, I'm trying to install, once again, The Sims. I decided to clean the computer about a month ago, and deleted all games. I then began to re-install them one by one. Now, I'm trying The Sims.

When the game goes to the autorun mode, it says that I can already play, and when I try to it says it can't find the file for the game. So I decide to uninstall it, but then, it says once again that I can't uninstall the game because there is no file to uninstal!!! So I can't install and uninstall because there seems to be a glitch in the file.

I tried to instal it by using the Explorer, going manually, but the CD says that I can't do that, cause I need to use the autorun to install it!!!

WTH SHOULD I DO?!?!?!

There might be some references to the game left over from the old installation.
Download a Registry Cleaner or try a different game.

Indeed, this means that the game is still probably in the registry and your computer thinks that it has Sims installed. Remember, when you remove games or programs, always use the uninstall utility. Some people just delete the folders and... Not really good to think about the mess on their computers...

Why would you want to play the sims anyway?

Don't search for files. Search the registry. Than look what kind of keys you find. By the names and there location you should be able to tell whether deleting them is a risk to the system or it just helps to remove the Sims' information.

Just dug out this link, perhaps it helps... [It SHOULD, at least I guess so, as it's description is what you ask for...]

Why would you want to paly NS anyway or use your computer anyways? Because you like it? Maybe this has something to do with one's personal opinion. He is asking for help here, don't freak out because he likes a game you don't like. So if you have nothing to say to help him fixing his issue just stay outta here...

Search the registry via regedit (Start->Run->Regedit).

but Export your settings first. Import them if things go haywire.

    Plus it's fun.

Especially to make an "Ellen DeGeneres and Anne Heche" household.

    hehe.

    My friend had the Colossus's.
