Help me!
Ok I'm sure that many of you have this problem so if you're one of the few that knows how to disable the MSN firewall so we can do things like send/recieve files and photos, web cam conversations, etc. please tell us!

I'm talking about the default firewall that comes with Windows XP btw.

Please do not tell the answer about going into network settings and selecting "disable internet firewall". I have tried this and it does not work. I am sure I can figure it out if I know MSN's port number, so if you could even tell me that, it would help a lot.

If youre behind a router you might have to do some proxy stuff along with that because clicking disable firewall is how you do it

Then youre going to have to mess with proxy settings / port forwarding.

To disable the ICF (Internet Connection Firewall), go to Network Connection. Right-click on the connection you usually connect with (Not the LAN.), choose Properties and go to Advanced. Uncheck "Protect my computer and network by limiting or preventing access to this computer from the Internet."

You dont actually have to disable the whole thing jus open the port range specified by the MSN Messenger support section on the Microsoft website.
