I think the funny side of it is reading the "review", then reading all the flames of the people who believed it was real.

Computer hackers are often limited by conventional computer hardware. They may request "faster" video cards, and larger hard drives, or even more memory. If your son starts requesting these devices, it is possible that he has a legitimate need. You can best ensure that you are buying legal, trustworthy hardware by only buying replacement parts from your computer's manufacturer.
If your son has requested a new "processor" from a company called "AMD", this is genuine cause for alarm. AMD is a third-world based company who make inferior, "knock-off" copies of American processor chips. They use child labor extensively in their third world sweatshops, and they deliberately disable the security features that American processor makers, such as Intel, use to prevent hacking. AMD chips are never sold in stores, and you will most likely be told that you have to order them from internet sites. Do not buy this chip! This is one request that you must refuse your son, if you are to have any hope of raising him well.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Start thinking. Was the creator of that article REALLY intending it to be a joke?
I mean reading the comments made me think.
The creator of the article repeatedly insisted that what he wrote was completely true and that anyone saying that it wasnt was a "hacker".The tone of all the people insisting hackers used these methods was serious.
Could it be,that the creator of the article is,truly,a ****?Same goes for all the people who made that site.
I mean look at that article on wicca.Im not even going to READ that crap. One look at the comments convinced me not to.I could guess what the article contained.Lemme guess..it contains the usual **** about wicca being a satanist religion,anti-christian,etc,etc,etc.
In fact,im quite convicned that the site was shut down because the people who contributed the articles, the web admin, etc, etc kept posting so much BS that the FBI or something shut them down due to some violation regarding racism or something.

Simply, no.
edit: i didnt intend for that to be a 'liku' type post, but sometimes people need to be 'shut down' to stop their ramblings and bring them back to reason and common sense. so, once again.... no.

Okay.... this IS painfully old. It's a joke. It's meant to poke fun, stereotyping parents as technologically-dull.
As well, attributing something as well-crafted as this (its age is a testament) to mindless flamebait like Something Awful... just no. I lost any and all respect for them when they turned into essentially THE largest and most-referred <b>TROLLSITE</b> on the 'net. They used to be funny, pointing out horrible, ugly webpages so that the creators would take out the freaking blink tags, get rid of the sky-blue on white text, cut away three-quarters of their fifty or so animated GIFs, and put something up more relevant than a homepage for their cat. But I suppose as you start to falter and die, you're forced to stoop lower to broaden your demographic.

I wonder how they could consider this to be positive feedback.
