Steam! Cs! Models! Aaaaaaaah!

and yeah.. i went skin hunting again...

i figured out where things go etc like steamapps/counterstrike/cstrike/models...

and i have got the models working.. but here... Skins and sounds! how the HELL do i get them going?

i have tried :

steamapps/counterstrike/cstrike/models/file.wav
steamapps/counterstrike/cstrike/models/sounds/file.wav
steamapps/counterstrike/cstrike/models/sounds/weapons/file.wav
steamapps/counterstrike/cstrike/file.wav
steamapps/counterstrike/cstrike/sounds/file.wav
steamapps/counterstrike/cstrike/sounds/weapons/file.wav

so yeah... help!? how do i get these damn sounds working? i got a SWEEEET mp5sd2 but the bad loud sounds... :s

Hmm...

U Have put your email addy between the steamapps and the counter-strike folder right ?
eg. E:\steam\steamapps\myemailaddy@whatever.ru\counter-strike\cstrike\sound\...

If it is a weapon sound, then it belongs in ...\sound\weapons
It would help if u could name the file, incase this doesnt help you.

Edit; Spellcheck the name of the file. The mp5 shoot sounds is named mp5-1.wav and mp5-2.wav.

steamapps etc rah rrah <void!> /cstrike/sound

not sounds!

Anyway, installing models is actually pretty straight forward, models go in the models folder, sounds go in the sounds folder, maps go in the maps folder, really, its not that hard to figure out <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->.
