the thing that really nets em, i've discovered, is that LOOKING GOOD is one thing
and having good personality is another.
but if you conform a little - scratch that, just stop GIVING a sh*t - to look good... people look at you first, and then look past that later..
so you'll frequently come off as someone with taste AND personality. bam.
and god DAMN, for the love of CHRIST i'm not talking about ECKO, ROCAWEAR bullsh*t, it's SO gaudy and UGLY...
but if you dress well from banana republic or am. eagle, or gap, or whatever, you look <i>good</i>!
NOTE: on the CONTRARY... abercrombie & fitch (FITCH, whoever typed it wrong) is a true teenybopper brand, and people with taste at all will be able to see that.

You're going to have changed about five hundred times by the time you even get to highschool anyway.
I remember listening to only rap in Junior High and thinking other music was stupid. Now I generally listen to anything except country and pop **** like Britney Spears. I used to think my parents music was old and dorky, and now I'm obsessed with 60's era classic rock.
You're also going to find your friends change a lot too, and that you're going to discover that you really don't like some of the people you've been hanging out with a lot. Just find people that you fit in with and **** everyone else, don't try to be what you aren't.
You wont have the friends youve had in Junior High again in High School. Just got to find where you fit in and dont be a person you arnt just to fit into a crowd. It sucks to see my good friends just leave but people change..and trust me so will you.
I like techno music and play NS. Wow im already alternative to my whole school. My school = noobs. They think if I can skin my XP i are teh 1 3 37 stuff....wow. My whole school likes rock and or rap. OP: You are the only person you can be, so be that person and be happy. Just do what feels natural, and learn to feel comfortable being yourself. You don't have to go out of your way to be different to normal (although that's kinda fun sometimes), and you <i>really</i> shouldn't go out of your way to be "normal".
Being comfortable about who you are is especially important, and becomes more important the more "abnormal" you feel you are. If you aren't comfortable you'll just wierd people out. If you are comfortable, you can make the strangest things seem natural (even intelligent).

No not really, I'm currently sitting here wearing my blood doner card in the Lanyard the school just gave me today because its more colourful than the first card that came with it. I am also listening to Fade To Black in the CD player on top of the workstation (The Headphones are almost constantly stuck in my ears anyway) and I have something like 7/8 Metallica CD's in the bag below my feet. That and I'm wearing the "Music Is Life" Hard Rock Cafe T-Shirt.

Once I got to college, I figured out one important thing: f*** what everyone else thinks. Be yourself. If they don't accept you as you are, then find new friends. Or end up like me. 40-60 hours on the computer. a week.

Being comfortable about who you are is especially important, and becomes more important the more "abnormal" you feel you are. If you aren't comfortable you'll just wierd people out. If you are comfortable, you can make the strangest things seem natural (even intelligent).

No not really, I'm currently sitting here wearing my blood doner card in the Lanyard the school just gave me today because its more colourful than the first card that came with it. I am also listening to Fade To Black in the CD player on top of the workstation (The Headphones are almost constantly stuck in my ears anyway) and I have something like 7/8 Metallica CD's in the bag below my feet. That and I'm wearing the "Music Is Life" Hard Rock Cafe T-Shirt.
