    Black Hawk Down is the worst of the list... but i think i didn't read the list very thoroughly, i haven't seen many of those.

    but in bhd, the ending is hopeful and idealistic.. and the bonds between soldiers and their shining, triumphant survival are the focal points.

    the guy wrote it that way.

    hmm dontknow about the book but in both movies both the origonal 1930 version and the newer one (1979 have Paul Bauman getting sniped in the trench.

    1930 version: He liked to draw. After reviewing his troops, and waiting for action he sees a butterfly . He reaches out to it exposing his head and gets killed by a French sniper.

    1979 remake: Same as above but he sees a bird (who he liked to draw) and amidst all the death and destruction of the battle field he sees a lone bird. He quickly gets out his paper and pencile and stands up a little to get a better view of it. And BAM! Sniped in the head.

    Would the world war 1 movie be called:

    Gallipoli, where the main character gets shot at the end.

    Event Horizon, almost everyone dies.

    Go play a game of NS on a public server? The "protagonist" is always getting killed there.

    <EDIT> Drat my two are taken already, ok, just stick with the public server:P </EDIT>

    Hows, that? In Oceans 11 they get the money and George Clooney gets out of jail and gets the girl, sure they get tailed by the 2 big guys but hey, he can handel himself.

    In Bandits, they get the money and they get away with it b/c they pretended to shoot themselves with squibbs and blanks in their guns.

    hmm yea , tricky tricky. I took good guys as in not neccisarily the protagonists are "good" but in the fact that in some cases the bad guys are the "good guys" too.

    Then you can have movies like Leon, and Plunnket and MacCleane
    if ya know waht I mean. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
