tbh the only "fair fights" are in things like Boxing - not streetfights, or school brawls etc.
If he'd pulled a gun, Papa Doc would have most likely killed him. Definitely a good example of when not to escalate a situation from a beatdown to a shootout.
Then you're just screwed no matter what. You pull out a gun loaded with rubber bullets. The other guy sees your gun and, figuring you're about to kill him, pulls out HIS gun loaded with hollow points. See where this is going?
