I took a nap today, and I was having this dream where I was in this eating contest eating all this food and it was awesome. Then, for some reason in my dream I had to move a TV out of my basement, so I thought to myself "screw this", and I woke up.

oh my god, that's f***ing hilarious XD
i once had a dream where i was spiderman, and mysterio was somehow shocking me with his electro powers (that he DOES NOT HAVE)
but i was just like "ow dude, ow, stop. cmon, quit it."
and i woke up and had pins and needles. lol
I keep having dreams kinda like that. I'll be trapped underwater, start drowning and take an instinctive breath in through my nose... and find that i can breathe.
I keep having that one. I'm getting scared because i KNOW one day i'm gonna see if i can do it for real.
Yeah, this is quite well known. Don't worry: you can't drown or choke in a dream. Even though your brain is telling your body "hey, I need to hold my breath!" your body knows better. You can always breathe underwater in dreams.

Unless you really are drowing and dreaming at the same time....

*rolls eyes*
Weird, I had a dream like that too once I was too lazy to swim up, so I just stayed in the water without drowning.

And to my horror when I wake up im dead on.
If goldfish can automatically learn what time they get fed, humans can learn automatically what time they usually get up. I used to wake up at 7:00am on Saturday mornings automatically for quite some time.

On the subject of dreams, what's really fun is when you still get nightmares but you're not scared by them a...
Holy crap! I just swallowed my chewing gum! darnit!
...where was I? Oh yes. It's fun because you're... well, I would say it's like being in an action movie but it's much more real. You feel like you really are fighting for your life, and it's exhilerating. I had another one of these dreams the other night, and it would make a really cool computer game. Then it occured to me that it probably wouldn't, because what made it such a kickass dream was the "real" possibility of dying horribly and painfully. Whereas in games, the only thing we're more desensitised to than killing other characters is dying ourselves.
Sorry about the rambling
